Nadar Saraswathi College of Arts and Science was established in the year 1996, is one of the many educational institutions nurtured by Nadar Uravinmurai educational Trust. The college is Self financing, ISO 9001: 2008 certified and affiliated to Mother Teresa Women’s University, Kodaikannal.

Equipped with latest facilities and excellent infrastructures, the college offers a total of 10 Under Graduate Courses, 6 Post Graduate Courses and 4 Research courses in the field of Humanities, Science and Technology. The college takes care of quality academic inputs by offering excellent course modules.

Nadar Saraswathi college of Arts and science, under the guidance of illustrious Managing Trustees Mr. A.S.S.Selvanayagam (president),Mr.S.K.A.P.BalaKrishnan(vice president), Mr.R.M.Chandrasekaren(General Secretary), Mr.G.N.Jawahar(Treasurer) and presently under Mr.B.Ramachandran(Secretary) and Mr.A.S.R.Maheswaren(Joint Secretary), all with foresight and far reaching vision, has been in the forefront of innovation in humanities, science and technical education. The Principal Dr S.Chitra was instrumental in the planned growth of the institution from 2008 to the present status of a state renowned institution.

The College today has student strength of about 1722 with 9 departments. Among the various Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate programmes offered by the college, as many as 2 programmes were accredited by the National Board of Accreditation of AICTE. Each department conducts annually at least one National / International Conference / Seminar / Workshop for effective dissemination of state-of-art technologies and research findings for the benefit of teaching faculty and students.

The college has signed MoU with Confederation of Indian industry (CII), New Delhi in order to promote closer interaction with other institutions in the areas of technology development, training of students, curriculum updating and development of state-of-art centres.
The college is situated at about 8 kms from Theni . The campus is spread over 20 acres of land, economically utilized for the College, Hostels, Play Fields and Gardens.
