The Department of Physics has a rich tradition of imparting interdisciplinary teaching and research training to students. It has established a six semestered B.Sc Physics course from the year 2015 and a four semestered M.Sc Physics course from 2018. And it is endlessly progressing itself according to the changing curriculum and catering its needs in the CBCS Systems.
Physics curriculum covers the core subjects like Electricity & Electromagnetism, Properties of matter, Thermal Physics, Solid State Physics, Nuclear Physics, Mathematical Physics, Quantum Mechanics, Electro Magnetic Theory, Spectroscopy with subject electives, Non-Major electives and skill based elective subjects. Apart from that our department offers Ancillary Physics for the benefit of other department students.
The cooperative efforts of dedicated teaching faculty and students have delivered wonderful results with continual increase in the number of students scoring 95% and above in core papers.
The focus and aim of the Physics department is to encourage young talents, to focus on standards, assessment and outcomes, and to ensure that all students learn in a more powerful way through International Seminars, Paper publications, Educational Visits to Observatory, Planetarium and ISRO. The department also inculcates research aptitude in our students by various research projects. The faculty members are always keen to mentor the students on academics and personal activities. We also find ways to motivate our students to place greater heights than ever before.
To set high quality of encyclopedic education by expanding the logical strength of students and directing them towards scientific and technical excellence.
